The Tiago became Tata’s best selling car after its launch. The hatchback was launched in April 2016 and Tata has garnered 1 lakh booking on the Tiago in this period. The company has already sold more than 65,000 units of the Tiago. Tata says that the Sanand plant where the Tiago is made is running at full capacity to meet the demands.

The Tiago was the first vehicle that was launched under the Tata’s new strategy to change the customer mindset about the brand. The Tiago looks fresh and nothing like any other Tata car. It gets well-designed interiors with a roomy cabin, premium material interiors and over 20 utility spaces to keep small things.
The Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 84 Bhp-114 Nm and a 1.0-litre diesel engine that generates a maximum of 69Bhp-140 Nm torque. Both the engines get 5-speed manual gearbox that drives the front wheels. The petrol engine is also offered with AMT. The petrol engine returns a maximum of 23.84 km/l while the diesel engine gets a certified 27.28 km/l.
Tata is also planning to launch the sports version of the Tiago in the coming time. It will be powered by a turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 120 Bhp.
