MV Agusta India has launched the 2017 Brutale 800 naked motorcycle. The semi-knocked down (SKD) kit will be assembled in India and it carries a price tag of Rs. 15.59 lakh, ex-showroom, India. The new motorcycle carries a lot of changes over the previous generation model.
The Brutale 800 has a unique design in the 800cc segment with iconic design and modern design. The motorcycle gets an all-new tank design, which is much sharper and strong creases. There is a new headlamp with circular DRL, giving it an exquisite taste. The motorcycle also gets a new tail design with neat, integrated grab rails. The motorcycle also gets new exhaust tip, which looks beautiful and compact.
The Brutale 800 continues to get power from the 798cc inline three cylinder engine but many parts are new on the motorcycle. The motorcycle gets new intake and exhaust cams, new pistons and a new exhaust manifold for improved torque response. With the updates, the three-pot engine now churns out a maximum of 108 Bhp and 83 Nm. According to MV Agusta, the new Brutale 800 churns out 80% of torque below 4,000 rpm, making it extremely fun to ride. The rest of the torque kicks in at about 7,600 rpm.
Ajinkya Firodia – Managing Director Motoroyale, the Indian representative for MV Agusta said, “We have three new launches for planned this year apart from the Brutale 800. We are launching the Turismo Veloce, Brutale 800 RR and the F3 800 Euro 4 all within the next three to four months.”
The motorcycle gets many riding aids like 8-level traction control system, 3-level ABS and adjustable riding modes. There’s a quick shifter for better and faster shifts. The 2017 Brutale also gets improved chassis which increases the wheelbase by 20mm. The suspension set-up remains the same and the motorcycle comes with 43mm Marzocchi USD fully adjustable front forks. The rear gets a fully adjustable Sachs unit. Braking duty is taken up by twin 300mm discs at the front with radial-type 4 pistons and a 220mm single disc at the rear with 2 piston calliper from Brembo.
